So, since I’ve been postpartum with my second, I swapped over to app based fitness. Initially, I had the Senada Greca App, but once Kim French released her, I switched out. By far, her app was superior on every aspect I can list.
I did the believe and Beast It plan first for a couple rounds, then switched to Lean Bulk and Build, and currently, I am doing Brains to Gains. I like a longer program that has phases because it will actually be a better measure of growth and progress vs a plan that changes daily or weekly. That said, I am in a maintenance phase, but I do still have weight to lose and some stubborn areas that I am ring to grow more muscle in, and areas that I have some stubborn fat in. I have been lifting for close to 20 years, so the reality is that body recomp is not likely, so I’ve added into my program aspects of FST-7 style training to help grow stubborn muscles. FST-7 is fascia stretch training - and this is something that 1. Should be implemented slowly (1x week and then up to 2-3 after the fact & 2. Should not be implemented by beginners bc it isn’t necessary as muscle growth can happen very quickly for beginners utilizing traditional methods - newbie gains are a real thing. The idea behind this, is that you can stretch out the fascia’s to allow for more muscle growth. Does it work? I think the muscles I’ve been targeting are def denser - so in that regard, yes. But I am not done yet. That’s all for now. I’ll upload progress photos soon.
