Having bed rest pregnancies following a laparoscopy and 2 years of straight IVF deteriorates your muscle mass. How do I know? It’s what I got to experience. up until I began this current fat loss phase, I did body recomp from 8 weeks postpartum from my son until Nov 2022 - so from September 2021 - just over a year. After completing that, I decided I wanted to focus on building my muscle foundation back up. Don’t forget, I had 2 back to back bed rest pregnancies, so I had a lot of muscle atrophy. Prior to TTC, I was in phenomenal shape. TTC ended up packing on pounds - especially IVF treatment. So I did 2 bulk cycles back to back - both lasting 20 weeks each, so 40 weeks total. I am now in my first fat loss phase, and it is nice to know I have a nice foundation I built up. From here, I’ll go to maintenance in January for a few weeks. Current Plan:I’m actually following along with the same bulk plan I used by Kim French (Believe by Kim French App), but I have added in cardio of 60-100 min/week, a full body day, counting calories, and steps. I am also adding in core work, something I’ve been afraid to do bc of the worry of DR. That being said, when I started in August, these were my measurements: Weight: ??? I hadn’t weighed myself in so long, so I was not sure. Waist: 32.5” Glutes: 43” Right Leg: 25.5” Left Leg: 25” Chest: 36.5” I am at week 8, and my current measurements are:
Weight: 146.8 lbs Waist: 31.25” Glutes: 42” Right Leg: 24.25” Left Leg: 24.25 Chest: 35.5”
